Mark Rountree is President of Landmark Communications, Inc., the strategic planning, polling and political consulting firm based in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. Mark is also a Partner in the Atlanta-based social media firm Newsblasters, LLC., specializing in political and non-profit social media.

Mark founded Landmark Communications in 1991, since becoming Georgia’s most experienced political consultant. Landmark has engaged in nearly a thousand different elections over more than 20 years.

Landmark Communications was selected in 2012 as polling company for WSB-TV News, Channel 2 Atlanta. The firm jointly releases poll results with its polling partner. Landmark’s surveys have been reported in publications and broadcasts across the country including Reuters, Bloomberg News, RealClearPolitics.com, the Huffington Post, Chris Matthews’ “Hardball” on MSNBC, and more.

Mark conducted polling and served as a frequent election analyst during the 2010 General Election for Atlanta’s CBS TV affiliate, WGCL. He is regularly quoted in media including the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, and is a frequent commentator for THE TONY POWERS RADIO SHOW on Augusta’s Fox News affiliate, 1380 AM. He is also a regular front-page poster for PeachPundit.com, Georgia’s largest political news blog.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations from the Henry Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia.
